UDD CHALA BHARAT
A striking installation celebrates India’s spirit through sustainability and craftsmanship. Towering marigolds—handcrafted from over 200 kilograms of scrap fabric—stand proudly as symbols of resilience and unity. Created by 25 women artisans trained in upcycling, each flower is a bold expression of purpose, pride, and the power to rise high with intention. Suspended delicately among them are handmade hangings crafted from Firozabad’s iconic glass bangles, symbolic of unbreakable grace and the timeless strength of women. Also nestled are origami doves and parrots—soft-spoken symbols of harmony, peace, and identity—representing a nation woven by tradition and toil. But the journey doesn’t end on August 15. Staying true to the belief in regeneration, this installation will be repurposed and reinstalled at community centres, bringing with it colour, joy, and a message of impact.
It is more than an installation. It is a celebration of freedom. A tribute to craft. A platform for livelihood.
