Ambience Mall Gurgaon marked Independence Day with a vibrant celebration of patriotism, culture, music and young talent, bringing together different expressions of what it means to celebrate India today. The celebrations began with flag hoisting in the morning, setting the tone for a day filled with pride and togetherness. A key highlight was the AWWA (Army Wives Welfare Association) exhibition, held across 15th and 16th August, showcasing Indian handicrafts and homegrown craftsmanship. The exhibit received an encouraging response from visitors, with people showing genuine appreciation for the beauty, skill and stories behind Indian handicrafts — reflecting a renewed interest in celebrating and supporting India’s rich craft heritage. Adding to the celebrations, the Indian Air Force Band performance was a huge crowd favourite. The stirring musical performance brought an incredible sense of energy and pride to the mall, with visitors stopping to enjoy the performance and soak in the patriotic atmosphere. The celebrations also gave the next generation a platform to express patriotism in their own way. Students from Miranda House and Gargi College took the stage with energetic performances, bringing a distinctly Gen Z perspective to the celebrations through music, movement and youthful expression. A visual centrepiece of the celebrations was “Eternal Flame of Valour”, Ambience Mall’s tribute to the courage and sacrifice of India’s armed forces. The installation quickly became a popular photo moment, with visitors stopping by to capture the striking installation and share the experience. Overall, the celebrations brought together heritage, heroes and the energy of a new generation — creating a lively Independence Day experience where patriotism was not just observed, but experienced through art, music, craftsmanship and community.
